Returns & Refunds Policy

Thank you for shopping with Comfy Living Limited (trading as comfy-living.co.uk). We want you to love your home purchases, but if you need to return an item, our policy is designed to be clear, fair, and fully compliant with UK consumer laws.

1. Your Legal Right to Cancel (Change of Mind)

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order and return your items for any reason within 14 days of receiving them.

To offer our customers extra peace of mind, Comfy Living Limited extends this request window to 30 days. You have 30 days from the date you receive your item to notify us that you wish to return it. Once we accept your return request, you have an additional 14 days to dispatch the item back to us.

2. Condition of Items & Packaging

To receive a full refund, items must be returned in a resalable condition:

  • Inspection vs. Use: You are entitled to inspect items as you would in a physical shop. However, if you use the items, assemble flat-pack furniture, or handle them beyond what is necessary to establish their nature and characteristics, we reserve the right to deduct an amount from your refund to reflect any loss in the item's value.
  • Packaging: Please take reasonable care when opening packaging. While we prefer items to be returned in their original packaging to protect them during transit, it is not a strict legal requirement. However, you are responsible for ensuring the item is securely packed so it arrives undamaged.
⚠️ Important Hygiene Note: For health and hygiene reasons, mattresses, mattress toppers, pillows, and bedding cannot be returned once their protective sealed packaging has been opened or unsealed, unless the item is fundamentally faulty or defective. We strongly recommend checking the size and comfort of your mattress before unsealing it.

3. How to Start a Return

Unauthorised returns sent to our warehouse without prior notification may experience significant delays in processing. All approved returns must be sent to our official returns depot:

4. Return Shipping Costs

  • Change of Mind: If you are returning an item simply because you no longer want it, you are responsible for the return shipping costs. For large furniture items, mattresses, or bulky homeware, we can arrange a courier collection for a fixed fee of £30, which will be deducted from your final refund. Alternatively, you may arrange your own tracked courier delivery at your own expense.
  • Damaged or Faulty Items: If your item arrives damaged, defective, or we sent the incorrect item, please inspect it upon receipt and contact us immediately at Returns@comfy-living.co.uk. In these cases, we will arrange collection or cover the return costs entirely, and you will receive a 100% refund or replacement.

5. Sale Items & Gift Cards

In accordance with UK online consumer rights, sale items purchased on comfy-living.co.uk are eligible for returns and refunds under the standard 30-day window. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on digital or physical gift cards.

6. Refunds

Once your return is received at our Bridgwater warehouse, our team will inspect it. We will notify you via email to confirm receipt and advise whether the item meets the standard resale conditions.

If approved, your refund (minus any applicable £30 collection fee) will be processed automatically back to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that banking institutions and credit card providers can sometimes take an additional 3–5 business days to clear the funds into your account.
